A history of success in the courtroom and several recent major victories have resulted in attorney Nicholas C. Rowley of Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley being selected as a finalist for Consumer Attorneys of California’s (CAOC) 2011 – 2012 Consumer Attorney of the Year Award.
Attorney Rowley has received this prestigious nomination for his work in the Blunt vs. Haupt case, which saw a $74 million award for the victim and family of a Sierra Vista Medical Center medical malpractice accident. The case revolved around the cerebral palsy of a now three-year-old girl, which was shown to be caused by the negligent actions of a doctor while she was being born. Jurors agreed with Rowley’s case against the delivering doctor and the hospital, which showed them to be the direct causes behind the girl’s injury.
The winner of CAOC’s Consumer Attorney of the Year Award will be announced on November 10 in San Francisco at the Palace Hotel. The CAOC is a professional organization containing nearly 3,000 attorneys and is dedicated to providing support and resources to attorneys and clients in order to improve their claims. The Consumer Attorney of the Year Award is given to an attorney who attained a significant verdict that helped consumers or improved consumer law in California. The award has been given each year since 2002.
