Katherine was born and raised in Los Angeles. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge and went on to obtain her juris doctorate from Southwestern Law School. She is recognized among her peers as a tenacious and compassionate attorney, dedicated to serving and obtaining justice for her clients.
Before advocating for the injured, Katherine was a civil litigation defense attorney at a national law firm. She successfully defended, represented, and advised corporate entities and some of the nation’s largest insurance companies on various matters involving risk for exposure and liability. Now, Katherine uses her unique defense background and experience to protect the interests and rights of those who have been harmed and seriously injured. She dedicates herself to ensuring her clients receive the maximum recovery available to them while holding individuals, public entities, and corporations accountable for their negligence.
While attending law school, Katherine was selected as Chair of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program and participated in various trial competitions across the state. She was a member of the Southwestern Journal of International Law and served as a Certified Law Clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney ’s Office, Preliminary Hearings Division. Because of her commitment to learning and training to pursue a career as an effective trial attorney, Southwestern’s Dean selected Katherine as the recipient of the “Excellence in Preparation for Trial Practice” Award from the American Board of Trial Advocates, a distinguished award presented to only one student from each graduating class.
After graduating from law school, Katherine continued to sharpen her trial skills by participating in the highly recognized American Board of Trial Advocates Fellowship. Katherine’s diverse experience, including working behind the bench and with both criminal and civil trial attorneys, gives her a unique insight into all aspects of litigation.
When not at the office or in court, Katherine enjoys spending time with her five nephews and niece, reading, cooking, and doing Pilates.
